Iran Exports Medical Equipment to Over 60 Countries, Announces VP at Iran Health 2025

Tehran, Iran - Iran’s Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy revealed at the Iran Health Exhibition 2025 that Iranian medical equipment is now exported to over 60 countries, crediting innovation and trust from local physicians.

On June 7, 2025, at the opening of the 26th Iran Health Exhibition in Tehran, Dr. Hossein Afshin, Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, celebrated the remarkable growth of Iran’s medical equipment industry, announcing exports to more than 60 countries worldwide. He attributed this achievement to the relentless innovation of knowledge-based companies and supportive government policies, alongside the trust placed in these products by Iranian physicians, who rank among the world’s best. Dr. Afshin emphasized that products endorsed by Iran’s medical community can easily penetrate global markets due to their proven quality, safety, and precision. He stressed the importance of continuous innovation, warning that industries failing to evolve between exhibitions risk obsolescence. Progress, he noted, hinges on research, development, and technological advancement. Highlighting government initiatives, he mentioned two major support schemes for research and development in medical equipment, offering facilities to companies aiming to enhance their products. He also set a high bar for the industry, stating that meeting basic standards isn’t enough; the expectation is to deliver next-generation products of the highest quality, with significant investment planned to achieve this. In closing, Dr. Afshin thanked all participants for their year-long efforts, describing the exhibition as a collective endeavor to elevate national health. Hosting 580 companies and 45 specialized sessions, the event runs until June 10, 2025, at the Tehran International Exhibition Center.
