Pardis Technology Park and Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Sign MoU

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Pardis Technology Park and the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR). The agreement, signed during Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to Pakistan, aims to develop and expand cooperation in professional training, bilateral technology transfer, and the promotion of research and innovation.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Reza Amiri-Moghadam, Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, and Khalid Hussain Magsi, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Science and Technology. The agreement seeks to create a practical framework for closer ties by fostering joint efforts in R&D and strengthening technological relations between the two nations’ advanced technology institutions, companies, and research centers.

Key areas for collaboration outlined in the MoU include biotechnology, environmental protection and purification technologies, nanotechnology, advanced engineered materials, industrial manufacturing technologies, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, herbal medicine, medical equipment, renewable energy, and electronics.The agreement also emphasizes cooperation in establishing science and technology parks, technology business incubators, startups, and innovation acceleration centers, as well as promoting entrepreneurship and venture capital. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of sharing information on high-tech companies and market research for advanced products to facilitate market access in both countries.

The Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR), established in 1973, operates as an autonomous body under Pakistan’s Ministry of Science and Technology, focusing on multidisciplinary R&D to leverage indigenous resources and innovative technologies.
