Tehran, Iran – On October 30, the student robotics league at the 2025 Technology Olympiad brought together talented young participants from cities including Shiraz, Babol, and Qaemshahr, as “Generation 2010” used speed, precision, and inventive designs to demonstrate the future of robotics.

The event’s atmosphere was charged with the hum of gears and shouts of excitement as students operated robots they had designed and built themselves, combining technical skill with creative vision. These competitions provided hands-on learning experiences and highlighted how young Iranians are applying cutting-edge technology to problem-solving.

In Shiraz, 15-year-old Ali Barzegar competed with his robot “Ordibehesht,” featuring a vertical spinner reaching 20,000 rpm, all components fabricated via CNC machines. His experience showed both improved competition quality and challenges such as uneven arena surfaces.

Fellow Shirazi competitor Amir Arsalan Bagheri entered the lightweight category with “Spinner,” a 15 kg robot whose weapon spins at 40,000 rpm. He praised the increased organization of this year’s events compared to last year.

From Babol, 14-year-old Mohammad Saleh Gorgani’s team brought a laser-equipped combat robot with a steel body 1.5 mm thick. His team emphasized learning from past editions and improving their design for stability and performance.

Qaemshahr’s 17-year-old Alireza Alijani, with his 11-year-old teammate, competed with “Er cheter,” designed with a ramp and lifting mechanism to get under opponents, lift them, and strike against arena walls. He described building and operating the robot as an inspiring team experience and a valuable test of engineering skills in a real-world challenge.

The student league proved to be more than just a contest — it was a gathering of ambitious youth driven by creativity, teamwork, and a desire to shape the future through technology.
