Capabilities of Iranian Startups and Knowledge-Based Companies Introduced at BRICS Summit

Head of Pardis Technology Park's trade promotion center Milad Sadrkhanlou said that his speech in BRICS Summit was aimed at introducing different methods of development and increasing the scale of startups and technology companies in the technology and innovation ecosystem by presenting examples from the Iranian technology and innovation ecosystem.

BRICS is the name of a group led by several developing, advanced and emerging economies in the world such as Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Although the members of the BRICS, except for Russia, are all in the category of developing countries or emerging economies, they are generally distinguished from other countries by having economies with rapid and comprehensive growth and an influence on global and regional affairs.

Knowledge-based companies and startups participate in this summit with the aim of developing investment activities to create network and develop their market by attracting capital, he stated.

He noted that Iran’s BRICS Plus has been recently formed in this group to be a window for the Iranian knowledge-based companies through this field, and Pardis Technology Park presented its experiences and achievements as Iran's representative in this meeting.
