Designing and Manufacturing Drilling and Tunnel Boring Machine in Pardis Technology Park

Shayan Fanavaran Amitis Company which is located in Pardis Technology Park has designed and manufactured drilling and tunnel boring machine.

The designing and manufacturing of mechanized drilling, loading and carrying equipment for tunneling and underground mining is one of the most important challenges in the field of mining, and indigenizing these machines can greatly help in increasing the productivity of mines.

Elaborating on the activities of the company, the Chief Executive Officer of Shayan Fanavaran Amitis Company Shahed Shirin said that the company started to redesign the industrial model of the tunnel boring machine and after some time, the first Iranian Roadheader (Shayan Roadheader) was ready to perform the operation.

This product can make an important contribution to the tunneling industry, underground mines and other underground construction projects, he added.

The machine can be used both wired and wireless.

Shayan Roadheader was used in various projects like Zinc Mine Anguran in Zanjan province, Pardis wastewater transfer, southeast Tehran underpass and Sarcheshmeh Copper Mine in Kerman Province.

We are negotiating with Iraq, Syria, Turkey, India and Afghanistan to attract foreign markets, he noted. 

According to the Statistical Centre of Iran’s latest reports, the total number of mines in the country in 1401 was about 12,000, of which 6,861 are active.

Iran has 68 different types of minerals, including 80% of the world's iron reserves, 40% of the world's copper reserves, and 4% of the world's zinc reserves.
