The Iran International Innovation District Plays a Key Role in Realizing the Annual Motto
First Vice President Visits Exhibition of Knowledge-Based and Technological Products from Members of the Iran International Innovation District

During a visit to the Iran International Innovation District, the First Vice President toured the exhibition showcasing knowledge-based and technological products from SMEs within this region.
During a recent visit, Dr. Mohammad Reza Aref, accompanied by the Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, as well as the Governor of Tehran, was briefed by the officials of the exhibition on the latest achievements, capabilities, and products of the member companies of the Iran International Innovation District (iiiD). The showcased technologies spanned various fields, including nanotechnology, energy management systems, cybersecurity, pharmaceuticals, electronics, electrical engineering, technical and engineering services, medical equipment, bone grafting, and industrial and mining machinery.
Following this, the Vice President toured the permanent medical equipment exhibition and learned about the capabilities of Iranian manufacturing companies in producing various medical and surgical equipment.
Dr. Aref emphasized the ability of knowledge-based companies to produce and export technology products aligned with the latest global advancements and issued necessary directives to address their challenges.
In addition, during the visit, the Vice President highlighted the significant role of knowledge-based companies in achieving the year’s slogan, referring to the strides made by the Pardis Technology Park towards the country’s independence, self-sufficiency, and the new year’s designation of “Investment for Production.” He noted that the iiiD plays a crucial role in realizing this slogan, encompassing both hardware and software aspects, particularly as the Islamic Republic of Iran excels in software and the export of technical engineering services and advanced technologies.
Dr. Aref stated that in the upcoming Board of Trustees meeting for the (iiiD), various responsibilities and a clear plan will be established to operationalize the year’s slogan, focusing on the 300 million-person market in the region.
The Vice President stressed that supporting scientific institutions, especially the private sector, is a strategy of the 14th government. He observed the capabilities and enthusiasm of private sector companies during the visit, noting that these abilities will aid in achieving self-sufficiency and entering regional markets.
Regarding support for the industrial sector of knowledge-based companies, he asserted that it is the government’s duty to support industry and innovative companies, and that achieving the year’s slogan is a priority for the government, which will be addressed in upcoming sessions.
Dr. Aref emphasized that attention to advanced technologies is a strategy outlined in the vision document, acknowledging existing delays in classic technologies that need to be compensated for, while expressing confidence in becoming a leader in high-tech and advanced technologies. He highlighted past successes in nanotechnology and information technology, asserting that similar achievements will be realized in artificial intelligence.
Before visiting the exhibition, Dr. Aref honored the memory of the martyrs of the eight-year Sacred Defense by laying a bouquet of flowers at the tomb of the unknown soldiers and reciting a prayer.
