Gov’t Stress Supporting Knowledge-Based Economy in Field of Health

During the opening of Iran Health Show 2024, Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy Rouhollah Dehqani Firouzabadi said that in the field of health, we believe that if the obstacles are removed, companies in the field of health can draw great horizons.

In this ceremony, 16 technological products in the field of health were unveiled.

Iran Health Show will become an event with the presence of all activists in the field of health and management of Pardis Technology Park, which will cover various meetings in addition to the exhibition section, Dehqani Firouzabadi said.

Meanwhile, Mohammadi said that the country's medical equipment market reaches nearly $3 billion, of which $2 billion is the share of imports and $1 billion is the share of production.

The largest amount of foreign exchange is spent for heart supplies and equipment, and it is planned to add five new products to the country's production basket every month, he added.

Reviewing the pharmaceutical industry companies shows that out of a total of 2000 active companies in the pharmaceutical industry, 400 ones are knowledge-based.

In the meantime, Shpak said that the economic cooperation between Iran and Russia is based on the principles of mutual benefit, trust and respect, and the important support for this is the high level of political dialogue between the two parties.

In this exhibition, a special hall has been established for start-up companies and specialized accelerators in this field, he stated.
