International Specialized Investment Fund to Be Established in Field of Technology

The commemoration ceremony of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of D-8 Technology Transfer and Exchange Network (D-8 TTEN) was held with the presence of representatives from 8 developing Islamic countries in Pardis Technology Park.

The head of the D-8 TTEN referred to plans for creating an international technology support fund in the D8 member states.

Referring to 10 years since the D-8 TTEN establishment, Secretary-General of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation (D-8) Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam said that by hosting the D8 technology exchange network, Pardis Technology Park has been able to plan numerous programs in the field of technology exchange in the D-8-member states and other Islamic countries.

The technology transfer award, organized by the D8 technology exchange network, has brought different countries closer together in technology transfer, he added.

Meanwhile, President of Pardis Technology Park Mahdi Saffarinia said that holding various technological events, including the international technology and innovation exhibition INOTEX, creating and managing Iran's national Techmart, creating and managing the innovation acceleration center have been among the measures taken by Pardis Technology Park in the field of technology.

In the meantime, Head of D-8 Technology Transfer and Exchange Network (D-8 TTEN) Milad Sadrkhanlou pointed to establishing an international investment fund in the field of technology in the D8 member countries.

This fund will support technological projects in the international field, he noted.

Holding 5 technology investment events, granting 3 technology transfer awards, 4 business and technology courses, and 7 technology transfer network of the D-8 TTEN supreme council are among the programs organized by this network over the last 10 years.

Head of Center of International Science and Technology Cooperation Amir Hossein Mirabadi, for his part, pointed to the 13th government’s plan in effective communication with Islamic countries, saying that events like D-8 TTEN can create synergy between Islamic countries.
