On June 10, 2025, the 26th Iran Health Exhibition concluded at the Tehran International Exhibition Center, cementing its status as the largest specialized health and medical equipment event in Iran. This year’s edition stood out not only for displaying Iran’s domestic and international health industry strengths but also for attracting high-profile political, scientific, and diplomatic visitors who engaged directly with the sector’s achievements and needs.

Hosting over 580 companies, the exhibition transformed into a hub for health diplomacy, technological collaboration, and investment opportunities, with attendees ranging from Iran’s top executive authorities to ambassadors from Asian, African, and European nations.

  • President’s Visit: The most notable presence was that of President Masoud Pezeshkian on the first day, accompanied by the Minister of Health and the Vice President for Scientific, Technological, and Knowledge-Based Economy Affairs. Touring innovation-focused and knowledge-based company booths, the President described the health industry as a strategic priority for the government, stating, “Developing indigenous health technologies guarantees national independence and public welfare.” His visit boosted morale among industry activists and garnered significant media attention for domestic advancements.
  • Vice President for Science and Technology: The Vice President conducted an extensive tour of startups and knowledge-based companies, engaging with young founders and elites in biotechnology and advanced medical equipment. Emphasizing the need to strengthen commercialization chains in health, he pledged special support for export growth and addressed key concerns like licensing processes, raw material access, and international market entry during a post-visit meeting.

  • International Presence: A significant highlight was the Iraqi Prime Ministerial delegation, led by senior health ministry officials, who expressed a strong desire for extensive cooperation to equip Iraqi hospitals with Iranian technology. Ambassadors from Vietnam, South Korea, and Sudan explored opportunities for technology transfer, equipment procurement, and joint investments, with Vietnam’s ambassador signaling readiness for joint health exhibitions. Representatives from Bolivia, Afghanistan, Hungary, Poland, Indonesia, and the UAE also attended, initiating commercial and technical negotiations to strengthen existing ties in pharmaceutical and medical equipment trade.
