PARDIS, Iran – In line with developing clean energy and achieving environmental goals, a 110 kW solar power plant, manufactured entirely with domestic components, has been inaugurated at the Iran International Innovation District (IIID). The project was realized in collaboration with Tavan Pazhouhan Fanavar Pasargad, a member company of the park and a manufacturer of solar power plant inverters.

The new solar power plant at the IIID was officially opened in the presence of Mehdi Safari-nia, President of Pardis Technology Park (PTP); Ahmad Nikravesh, CEO of Tavan Pazhouhan Pasargad; and Hamid Kheradnia, Deputy Director for Technical and Engineering at PTP.

Speaking about the fully Iranian solar project at the IIID, Hamid Kheradnia stated: "With the ever-increasing demand for energy and the necessity to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, constructing renewable power plants has become a key requirement for providing sustainable electricity and supporting the activities of technology-driven companies."

He added: "Accordingly, this new 110 kW solar plant was built within six months with an investment of 40 billion IRR. It is capable of generating approximately 165 MWh of clean electricity annually and stands as a successful example of synergy between industry, technical knowledge, and environmental concerns."

Kheradnia highlighted the project's unique feature, noting: "All equipment used in this plant, including the panels and the 20 kW and 25 kW inverters, are domestically manufactured. The inverters were designed and produced by the knowledge-based company Tavan Pazhouhan Fanavar Pasargad, a member of the IIID. This represents an effective step towards reducing reliance on foreign technology, preventing capital outflow, and enhancing domestic repair and support capabilities."

According to the PTP official, the company has also developed monitoring software for the plant, enabling real-time tracking of electricity generation, CO2 emission reduction, and environmental offset calculations.

He continued: "With the inauguration of this plant, the total capacity of active solar power plants in the IIID has reached 600 kW. Based on current plans, this capacity will be increased to 30 MW in the near future with the participation of the private sector."

Kheradnia emphasized that this project not only contributes to the stability of the region's power grid but also serves as an inspiring model for the development of green jobs and promoting investment in the renewable energy sector. Furthermore, member companies with high electricity consumption are now committed to supplying at least 5% of their energy needs from renewable sources.
