Iraq Seeks Advanced Iranian Medical Equipment, Says Senior Official at Iran Health 2025

Tehran, Iran - Ali Razoogi, Senior Assistant to the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office, expressed amazement at Iran’s medical equipment advancements and a strong desire for collaboration during his visit to Iran Health 2025.

June 9, 2025 - During a visit to the 26th Iran Health Exhibition at the Tehran International Exhibition Center, Ali Razoogi, Senior Assistant and Deputy Head of the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office, marveled at Iran’s progress in medical equipment. “I was truly astonished to see how far Iranians have advanced in the medical field when I viewed the products showcased at this exhibition,” he stated.

Speaking on the potential for collaboration, Razoogi affirmed, “We are confident that there is a substantial market in Iraq for these Iranian achievements. We need to equip Iraqi hospitals with this advanced equipment and hope to host you in Iraq soon.” He expressed Iraq’s interest in hosting a similar event to Iran Health in Baghdad to foster greater cooperation.

Razoogi highlighted a keen interest in benefiting from Iranian expertise in medical equipment production and accessing advanced technologies. “Many Iraqi companies and hospitals are eager to utilize cutting-edge Iranian devices, and we hope to sign cooperation agreements between Iran and Iraq as soon as possible,” he added. He also noted the strong bilateral relations and geographical proximity between the two nations as a favorable opportunity for Iranian medical equipment to enter the Iraqi market.

Accompanied by a delegation, Razoogi toured booths in Hall 38 of the exhibition, where participating companies introduced their products to the Iraqi team. The exhibition continues until June 10, 2025.
