Top programmers from Iran and eight other countries compete in the final algorithm challenge at the 2025 Technology Olympiad.
One Line of Code to Victory: Algorithm Finals at 2025 Technology Olympiad
Tehran, Iran – The final round of the algorithm programming competition at the 2025 Technology Olympiad began on October 29, 2025, at the Iran International Innovation District (IIID), bringing together more than 160 top Iranian programmers and elite teams from eight countries in one of the event’s most demanding contests.
Teams from India, Bangladesh, Iraq, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Oman, Russia, and Romania joined Iranian participants in the simultaneous global and domestic competition. Out of roughly 1,000 registered contestants in the preliminary phase, only 100 advanced to the final after passing rigorous technical evaluations.
The three-hour contest, running from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., challenges participants with five complex algorithmic problems, where both problem complexity and solution speed determine final scores. An automated online judging system evaluates submissions in real-time, awarding either full or zero points per problem based on complete accuracy, with strict anti-cheating protocols in place.
The competition journey began in May 2025 with preparatory training sessions followed by two weeks of online challenges. Today’s finals, held under the supervision of technical and international judges, will conclude with the announcement of the top three teams.
