Fourth “Danava” student innovation festival at IIID to showcase 300 top projects selected from over 6,500 submissions nationwide.
Three Days of Student STEM Excitement at the Heart of Iran’s Innovation Hub
The fourth edition of the “Danava” Student Innovation Festival will kick off on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at the Iran International Innovation District (IIID), featuring 300 outstanding student projects and a packed program of exhibitions, robotics competitions, and hands-on workshops.
According to Sajjad Abbasi Fashami, Director General for Promotion and Development of Innovation Clusters at Pardis Technology Park, this year’s Danava call attracted more than 6,500 creative proposals from school students across Iran. Submissions were received from a wide range of provinces and cities, including remote regions, and were screened through several evaluation stages to select 300 top projects that will be exhibited over the three-day event.
Abbasi Fashami noted that the festival offers a special opportunity for students and their families to closely engage with the scientific and creative achievements of children and teenagers. He emphasized that seeing these innovative ideas and prototypes firsthand can inspire other students to participate in future editions of the event.
This year’s Danava program consists of several main sections. The exhibition area will present selected student projects in various scientific and technical fields. In the “Teen Expo” section, projects from previous editions that have since evolved into commercial products and business models will be showcased to the public.
Another key component is “Danava Cup,” a robotics competition in which student teams will compete with intelligent combat robots, warehouse robots, and football-playing robots over the course of the three-day event.
In addition to exhibitions and competitions, a series of scientific and educational workshops will be held for visitors, creating opportunities for learning, interaction, and knowledge sharing among young talents and enthusiasts.
Abbasi Fashami stressed that this festival, as one of the flagship outreach initiatives of the Iran International Innovation District, aims to promote a culture of innovation and creativity from an early age and to present student projects as role models for the country’s next generation of innovators.
The Danava Student Innovation Festival will take place from 19 to 21 November 2025 at the Iran International Innovation District, covering a broad range of disciplines including programming and artificial intelligence, robotics, mechanics and instrumentation, electrical and electronics engineering, health and medical technologies, chemistry and advanced materials, creative and cultural industries, cybersecurity, environment, and transportation.
