TIM2023 Top Technologists Praised

The closing ceremony of the 5^th round of the Technology Investment Meeting (TIM2023) was held with the introduction of Malaysia as the next round’s host.

During the event which was held in person and virtually and with the presence of over 350 technologists and investors from 12 countries including Malaysia, Pakistan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Turkey, Canada, Algeria, China, Armenia, Syria, Russia, Guinea, Afghanistan and Iran, the door was opened to multilateral collaboration in the form of presentation sessions, committees, B2B meetings, and memoranda of understanding, as well as pilot fundraising for the D-8 Joint Fund.

Holding 70 meetings between the companies present in the event, three specialized panels and speeches by eight main speakers were among other programs of this two-day event.

Addressing the closing ceremony, head of international interaction center of the vice presidency for science, technology and knowledge-based economy Amir Hossein Mir Abadi said that the event is an example of cooperation for the developing countries that can be a model for other Islamic countries and the world.

He also urged the Secretary General of the D8 to pave the way for the cooperation and participation of all the member states in the field of technology by supporting the international technology investment event.

Signing a memorandum of understanding between Iranian and Russian companies was one of the programs on the sidelines of the TIM2023 closing ceremony.

The poster of the next round of the event was unveiled, according to which, the sixth round of TIM will be hosted by Malaysia next year.
