VP Stresses Necessity of Synergy and Networking of Iran And Afghanistan Elite

Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy Hossein Afshin emphasized creating synergy and network of Iranian and Afghan elites.

The first Afghan elite conference was held in the presence of Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy Hossein Afshin, President of Pardis Technology Park Mehdi Saffarinia, Head of Organization for Development of International Cooperation in Science and Technology Hossein Roozbeh, Head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization Mohammad Mahdi Imanipoor and a group of Afghan elites in Iran International Innovation District conference hall.

Referring to the links between Iran and Afghanistan, Afshin said Afghan immigrants as part of Iran had mandatory migration to our country and these two nations have commonalities.

The elites cannot be limited to walls and borders, he added.

Afghan companies are part of Iran's innovation ecosystem, and our mission is to nurture talents and turn Iran into a platform for promoting elites, he added.

Holding three specialized panels on technological cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan and feasibility of Iran’s interactions with policymaking patterns of technological ecosystem in Afghanistan, reviewing the capacity of cooperation between the two countries and visiting members of Iran International Innovation District were on the agenda of the two-day conference.
