1,440 Knowledge-Based Companies Are Active in Field of Health

Referring to the activity of more than 1,440 knowledge-based companies in the field of health, Iranian Health Minister Bahram Einollahi said that the connection of students in the field of health with knowledge-based companies can lead to the growth of these companies.

There are 67 universities of medical sciences, 15 science and technology parks, 114 development centers and 14 innovation centers in the field of health in the country, he added.

Last year, more than 1.5 million people traveled to Iran in the field of health tourism, and 280 health tourism centers were established in the country, he noted.

60% of health-oriented items are produced in the private sector, he stated.

We call for the presence of the private sector in this field, he said.
