The Iran International Innovation District (IIID) reports that over 120 products have been developed at its Elite Technology Development Center within Pardis Technology Park, with 80% successfully entering diverse markets, ranging from medical equipment to industrial and information technology solutions.

According to Mohsen Aliakbarian, head of the Elite Technology Development Center at Pardis Technology Park, the path from concept to market-ready product in IIID typically spans two to three years. Many companies reach commercialization during their second or third year of operation.

With membership demand rising, some companies have graduated from the incubator and established themselves within IIID as successful independent enterprises.

Aliakbarian stressed that fostering hope and motivation for local talent is crucial. “Iranian youth surpass many peers globally in IQ, talent, and technical knowledge,” he noted, emphasizing the nation’s competitive advantage in low production costs—including labor, raw materials, and manufacturing.

He highlighted that the startups within IIID align quickly with global technology trends, selecting frontier ideas in science and technology. Compared to older firms, these startups are far more agile and adaptable to rapid technological change.
