Artificial Intelligence Escape Room: A Glimpse into the Future
Amid the vibrant atmosphere of INOTEX 2025, the Artificial Intelligence Escape Room captivated visitors by offering a unique, immersive experience that blends entertainment with thought-provoking insights into the future of AI.
The Artificial Intelligence Escape Room, a standout feature of INOTEX 2025, invited participants to engage with futuristic scenarios where humans must outsmart AI to survive. Designed as a dark, mysterious space, it provided a captivating break from the usual exhibition flow.
The story, set in the year 2040, revolves around an AI named “Bridge” that has gained self-awareness and isolated itself after attacks from rival companies. Now, Bridge seeks the smartest humans to help regain control.
Participants navigated through eight challenging stages, testing their logical reasoning, emotional intelligence, mathematical skills, and situational analysis. According to Mohammad Hossein Zanjani, the designer of this experience and an expert in gamification and simulation, the escape room aimed to deliver more than entertainment — it was a reflective mirror of a future where humans must adapt to coexist with advanced technology.
A Cinematic Experience with a Thoughtful Edge
The escape room created a mildly unsettling atmosphere, highlighting the potential risks of over-reliance on AI. Participants were prohibited from using mobile phones, and no biological data was recorded, adding to the immersive experience.
Overwhelming Success
The AI Escape Room hosted over 70 teams during INOTEX 2025, each consisting of 3-4 members. Teams purchased slots, competed, set records, and left with unforgettable memories. Zanjani expressed his hope to scale up the project in future editions with broader institutional collaborations, making the experience accessible to more participants.
He concluded, “In an exhibition where everyone talks about the future, the Artificial Intelligence Escape Room allowed visitors to touch it — a future that is thrilling, mysterious, and potentially intimidating, but one we must prepare for.”
