On September 9, 2026, at INOTEX 2026, Ali Jamalinezhari, a faculty member at Islamic Azad University, stated that artificial intelligence is designed to augment physicians' diagnostic accuracy and patient monitoring, not replace them.

During the "AI in Health" specialized panel at the Iran International Innovation & Technology Exhibition (INOTEX), Jamalinezhari outlined the transformative applications of computational intelligence in modern medicine. According to the INOTEX 2026 News Center, the technology is already transitioning from academic research to commercial healthcare solutions.

Key applications and strategic insights highlighted include:

  • Medical IoT (IoMT): Deploying smart sensors and wearable tags to continuously monitor patient vitals and automatically transmit critical data to healthcare centers for proactive management.
  • Advanced Medical Imaging: Utilizing AI in CT, MRI, PET, and ultrasound scans to assist radiologists in detecting micro-calcifications and nodules, significantly reducing fatigue-induced diagnostic errors.
  • Predictive Analytics: Leveraging algorithms, including genetic and swarm optimization models, to analyze medical data (such as ECG readings) and predict acute cardiac events before they occur.
  • Market Growth and Research: Noting that the global AI in healthcare market, valued at $26 billion in 2024, is projected to reach $110 billion by 2030 (38.6% CAGR), driven by extensive academic research and personalized medicine initiatives.

Jamalinezhari concluded that AI is no longer a futuristic concept but a present-day tool actively reshaping drug discovery, diagnostics, and patient care, provided it is integrated responsibly alongside human expertise.
