On the second day of the Iran Health Show 2024, the "Health and Blockchain" training course was held with the presence of Reza Soltani, a business and product development consultant in the field of blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

Different topics like "Introduction to Blockchain", "What is Blockchain", "When to use Blockchain", "Challenges of using Blockchain", "raising the problem: Integrating Blockchain Healthcare Industry" were discussed.

Smart contracts are regulated by the blockchain, and in this case, there is no need for an order and a trusted person, Soltani said.

Web3 is a decentralized database that regulates the system architecture and is considered an infrastructure for the metaverse, he added.

Many have become familiar with the concept of blockchain through digital currencies, he noted.

While in 1991, two prominent computer scientists invented the concept of a chain of encrypted secure blocks, he stated.

Nick Szabo, one of the great cryptographers, proposed the concept of BitGold, which was the world's first decentralized currency, he said.

In 2008, a team of unknown scientists explained about a currency called Bitcoin, and in 2009, the first transaction took place in this field, he stated.

Blockchain is used in various cases, including when data sharing is required and multiple parties are modifying a single database.
