BRICS Structure and Cooperation Platforms Workshop Kicks Off in Iran International Innovation District

BRICS Structure and Cooperation Platforms Workshop started work with the participation of members of the BRICS Expert Council Russia in the International Innovation District.

Four lectures and an expert panel are among the workshop programs.

Addressing the event, Head of the Center for Progress and Development (CPDI) of Iran Presidency Sajjad Ahmadzadeh said strengthening cooperation with BRICS member states, especially in the field of technology, can help member states develop as emerging economies.

Numerous measures, including research studies to cooperate with members of BRICS have been taken in the presence of Iranian technology companies in BRICS member states, he stated.

Meanwhile, President of Pardis Technology Park Mahdi Saffarinia said that BRICS members' cooperation in the field of technology can lead to the elimination of monopoly of technology from the West and the sustainable development of member states.

According to the Cabinet Ministers’ approval, Iran International Innovation District has been designated as the country's top base for foreign investment, he said.
