Cognitive Sciences Headquarters Targets $600M Market at INOTEX 2026

At INOTEX 2026, Ataollah Pourabbasi highlighted the maturation of the cognitive sciences and neurotechnology ecosystem in Iran. Despite being a relatively new field in the country, with about 15 years of formal activity, the sector has achieved significant milestones in localizing knowledge acquisition and technology development.

According to the INOTEX 2026 News Center, the strategic roadmap for the cognitive sciences sector focuses on four core pillars to ensure sustainable growth and global competitiveness:

• Knowledge Localization: Achieving self-sufficiency in acquiring cognitive science and neurotechnology expertise domestically.
• Market Expansion: Targeting a $600 million market valuation for neurotechnology and cognitive sciences over the next decade to capture global market share.
• Startup Resilience: Empowering small and medium-sized knowledge-based companies (SMEs) and startups as the primary drivers of sustainable economic circulation.
• Cluster Formation: Engineering technology clusters and networks through platforms like INOTEX and technology parks to complete the innovation value chain.

Pourabbasi noted that while the trajectory is positive, reaching the 10-year market target requires substantial investment in human capital and infrastructure. He emphasized that supporting agile startups and integrating them into structured technological clusters is essential for maximizing national productivity and fostering a resilient knowledge-based economy.
