Technovation Academy launched at IIID to boost scientific and technological cooperation among OIC member states
The Technovation Academy — a collaborative initiative between the Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) and Pardis Technology Park — was inaugurated at the Iran International Innovation District (IIID), aiming to share Iran’s successful innovation and entrepreneurship experiences with other member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
In the opening ceremony attended by Mahdi Safarinia, President of Pardis Technology Park, and Prof. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of COMSTECH, the academy was officially launched at IIID.
Prof. Choudhary described IIID and Pardis Technology Park as the “best model of an innovation ecosystem in West Asia,” highlighting their impressive two-decade growth and global reputation for supporting entrepreneurs and commercializing technologies.
Established under a Memorandum of Understanding between COMSTECH and Pardis Technology Park, the Technovation Academy will deliver regular specialized training programs for OIC member states. The first program will focus on artificial intelligence, followed by diverse innovation and technology courses.
Prof. Choudhary, a former laureate of the Mustafa Prize (PBUH), emphasized that Iran’s achievements in scientific and technological development should be shared across the Islamic world. He called the launch of the Technovation Academy “a milestone in advancing collective scientific and technological progress” and praised Pardis Technology Park’s infrastructure and extensive networks as key enablers of cooperation in the Islamic world.
