Construction of Phase 3 at the Iran International Innovation District (IIID) continues without pause through the severe autumn and winter of 2024–2025, bringing the project closer to full operational readiness.

Even with unprecedented cold and challenging weather conditions, work at IIID’s Phase 3 has not slowed. Engineers and execution teams are working round the clock, utilizing advanced machinery to build new structures and infrastructure needed to host knowledge-based companies and startups.

One of the key achievements of this phase is the completion of core infrastructure—including electricity, telecommunications, water, and gas—built to high standards to ensure sustainable operations for resident companies. A stable, high-speed internet network has also been established, enabling seamless collaboration and access to global information.

Strategically located near Pardis Branch of the Islamic Azad University and existing technology companies in Phases 1 and 2, the new development—dubbed the Entrepreneurship Campus—has emerged as one of the country’s most significant technology projects.

Recent reports highlight substantial progress in the construction of buildings for several companies, with some expected to become operational soon. Additional facilities are slated for completion by mid-2025.

Phase 3 of IIID is set to play a pivotal role in advancing Iran’s knowledge-based economy, particularly in the health sector. The arrival of startups and knowledge-based firms will drive job creation, foster the production of innovative products, expand non-oil exports, and promote new technologies. Furthermore, IIID is positioning itself as a hub for foreign investment and international technology partnerships.

The ongoing development of IIID’s Phase 3 marks a major step toward achieving Iran’s national goals in technology and innovation, paving the way for a thriving knowledge economy and enhancing the country’s global competitiveness.
