Final Four in Lightweight Robot Battles
At the Iran International Innovation District (IIID), the preliminary stage of the 2025 Technology Olympiad’s lightweight combat robot league ended after two days of intense matches, sending four top teams to the finals scheduled for November 1–2.
Morning matches on November 6 began at 9:45, with teams facing off under the 32 kg weight limit and 60×60×80 cm dimension regulations.
- Match 1: University of Science and Technology vs. Farishtehaye Danesh — a decisive 30‑second win for the University’s agile robot, forcing the opponent to withdraw.
- Match 2: Diako defeated USN using continuous offensive pressure and tactical cornering, played in two rounds of three minutes with a mid‑repair interval under new rules.
- Match 3: Golomak Sazeh Nasr vs. Hunter — the “city derby” ended with victory for Fava Mes through side‑attack design and top‑spinner upgrade capability.
- Match 4: University of Science and Technology defeated Bidandoon, earning points by multiple lifts of the heavier opponent.
- Match 5: Black Tornado, optimized for speed and destructive lifting with scooter motors and batteries, faced the University’s slope‑deck robot in a spectacular clash.
By the end of the day, Golomak Sazeh Nasr, University of Science and Technology, Diako, and Fava Mes Kerman secured places in the finals.
