IIID Crowns Champions at 5th Annual Air Rifle Shooting Competition

On September 29, 2026, the Iran International Innovation District (IIID) hosted its 5th annual air rifle shooting competition, drawing 115 participants to mark National Defense Week and foster ecosystem engagement.

Organized by the IIID Public Relations Office, the event brought together employees from member companies to promote workplace wellness and networking within the national innovation ecosystem. The competition featured a standardized format using 4.5mm air rifles, where participants took three sighting shots followed by five main shots, competing for a maximum score of 50 points.

Key results and event highlights include:

  • Men’s Division: Emad Azami (Tavan Pajouhan Fanavar Pasargad) secured first place with 34 points, followed by Hassan Mortazavi (Iranian Banazh) with 33 points, and Hassan Torkashvand (Pooyesh Darou) with 32 points.
  • Women’s Division: Mahdieh Vajeh (Tavan Pajouhan Fanavar Pasargad) claimed the top spot with 28 points, Mitra Behnam-Rava (Gouyan Afzar) took second with 25 points, and Anita Yaghoub-Azari (Tavan Pajouhan Fanavar Pasargad) placed third with 22 points.
  • Participation Metrics: The event saw strong engagement with 94 male and 21 female competitors representing various tech and knowledge-based firms within the district.
  • Strategic Objective: Beyond athletic competition, the event served as a strategic platform to boost morale and strengthen interpersonal connections among professionals across the IIID network.
