Industrial Felt, An Innovative Solution to Reduce Noise Pollution in Work Spaces

Reducing noise pollution in work spaces, including co-working spaces and call centers both promotes health of the work space, and improves people’s performance.

“Namad Studio” located in Azadi Innovation Factory has taken a step towards solving this concern by using industrial felt.

Noise pollution is one of the issues that should be considered in the design of work spaces.

“Namad Studio”, one of the member companies of Azadi Innovation Factory (Iran International Innovation District Branch, Pardis Technology Park), has reduced the noise pollution in work spaces by using industrial felt.

One of the topics that was discussed in building a co-working space in the Azadi Innovation Factory was to solve the problems related to noise pollution, CEO of “Namad Studio” Aryan Abolhasani said.

Elaborating on the characteristics of industrial felt, he said that industrial felt has high sound absorption, it can be produced in different sizes and colors, and can be combined with other building materials such as light.

On the other hand, it is a fireproof material and can be washed, he stressed.

“Namad Studio” manufactures and installs all projects and products with industrial felt aiming to provide acoustic solutions in all architectural sectors in different sizes, he said.

One of the special items produced by “Namad Studio” is acoustic ceiling louvres, which consists of felt U-shaped branches and can be connected to the ceiling, Abolhasani noted.
