: INOTEX 2025 Bridges Tradition and Modernity, Says Cultural Council Secretary

Tehran, May 9, 2025 – The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution commended the Iran International Innovation & Technology Exhibition (INOTEX) 2025 for fostering a unique connection between tradition and modernity, as well as wisdom and governance, during its opening ceremony.

Abdolhossein Khosropanah, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, spoke at the opening ceremony of INOTEX 2025, expressing gratitude to the Vice Presidency for Scientific, Technological and Knowledge-Based Economy Affairs and Pardis Technology Park (PTP) for organizing the event. “I am thankful to the Vice Presidency and PTP for launching this wisdom-based exhibition and for continuing to host this event and related discussions each year,” he stated.

Khosropanah elaborated on two key concepts in thought and philosophy, explaining, “In intellectual discourse, there exists a traditional concept, ‘wisdom’ (Hikmat), and a modern one, ‘governance’ (Governance). Wisdom, though not explicitly a Quranic term, implies a process from thought to action. This is why philosophers like Farabi and Avicenna divided wisdom into theoretical and practical categories.”

He further clarified, “Theoretical wisdom encompasses philosophy, mathematics, natural sciences, and fundamental sciences, while practical wisdom includes ethics, politics, and what we today call humanities. Wisdom guides us from theory to practice.”

Defining governance, Khosropanah noted, “Governance, or ‘Hukuma’ in Arabic, is a process that spans policymaking, implementation, oversight, and evaluation.”

Reflecting on his visit to the exhibition pavilions, he added, “During my tour of INOTEX 2025, I witnessed how this valuable event bridges tradition and modernity. The exhibits cover everything from ideation and fundamental theories to practical applications and technological advancements.”

The Secretary continued, “This exhibition also showcases a governance process through the Technology Readiness Level (TRL), from ideation to technology development, production, and commercialization, ultimately addressing societal and human needs. If we evaluate each year how effectively this event connects wisdom with governance, we can confidently say we have passed a successful test.”

In conclusion, Khosropanah congratulated the organizers, stating, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone who, drawing on years of experience in hosting this exhibition, has made INOTEX 2025 more vibrant than ever. They have forged a novel connection between tradition and modernity, and between wisdom and governance, through this event.”
