National Security Committee Member Highlights Role of INOTEX 2025 in Monitoring Legislation Outcomes
INOTEX Offers Insight into Impact of Knowledge-Based Production Leap Law, Says MP

Tehran, May 10, 2025 – Ruhollah Najabat, a member of Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in Parliament, stated during a visit to the Iran International Innovation & Technology Exhibition (INOTEX) 2025 that the event provides a unique opportunity to closely observe the effects of the Knowledge-Based Production Leap Law and engage with leading figures in science and technology.
Ruhollah Najabat, parliamentary representative from Shiraz and Zerqan and a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, visited INOTEX 2025 to assess advancements in the technology sector.
Speaking to media representatives during the visit, Najabat described INOTEX as a significant technological event that enables companies and government entities to become acquainted with the capabilities of Iran’s knowledge-based firms.
He emphasized the importance of the Knowledge-Based Production Leap Law as a key achievement for the sector, noting, “Currently, Parliament’s most critical task is to oversee and track the implementation of this law to ensure it is executed effectively.”
Najabat further elaborated, “INOTEX provides us with an opportunity to engage directly with pioneers in Iran’s science and technology fields, understand their concerns and perspectives, and witness firsthand the tangible impacts of the Knowledge-Based Production Leap Law.”
Commenting on the role of technology and knowledge-based products in national security, he stated, “Our defense sector fundamentally relies on knowledge-based initiatives. Without the contributions of knowledge-based companies outside the direct military and defense supply chains, the remarkable achievements in this area would not have been possible. Although the sensitive nature of this work limits public exposure, parliamentary oversight confirms that the self-initiated efforts of these firms supporting defense industries are essential. Without them, we would not have the reliable state of military and defense equipment we see today.”
