International AI and IoT Conference Bridges Academia and Industry at INOTEX 2026

Held at the Islamic Azad University, Pardis Science and Technology Branch, the conference was designed to integrate academic knowledge production with the practical demands of the national innovation ecosystem. According to the INOTEX 2026 News Center, the event marked a strategic shift toward applied research addressing real-world Iranian issues.

Key metrics and strategic focus areas of the conference include:

• International Expansion: The scientific committee was expanded to include professors from Pakistan and other West Asian nations, including laureates and nominees of the Mustafa Prize (PBUH).
• Applied Research Focus: Out of approximately 200 submitted papers, 90 were accepted, with priority given to studies addressing domestic challenges like water management and urban pollution.
• Industry Integration: Specialized panels featured industry experts with 1–2 decades of experience to discuss the practical strengths and limitations of AI deployment.
• Academic Indexing: Accepted papers will be indexed in recognized scientific databases, including the Organization for Citation and Scientific Monitoring of the Islamic World (ISC).

Mehdi noted that while flight restrictions and regional instability limited the physical attendance of foreign experts this year, the foundational agreements established will facilitate broader international participation in future editions.
