Tehran, Iran - The 26th Iran Health Exhibition concluded with over 580 companies, 1,000 B2B meetings, and visits from top officials, marking it as a pivotal event for the regional health sector, announced the event’s secretary.
June 10, 2025 - The 26th Iran Health Exhibition, held from June 7 to June 10 at the Tehran International Exhibition Center, hosted 580 active companies in the health and medical equipment sector from Iran alongside 18 international pavilions representing 20 countries, making it one of the largest specialized health gatherings in the region. Amin Reza Khaleghian, Secretary of the Iran Health Exhibition 2025, shared key highlights of the event’s success.
Khaleghian reported that approximately 1,000 commercial and specialized negotiation sessions (B2B meetings) were conducted between Iranian companies and foreign delegations from countries including China, Russia, Belarus, Czech Republic, UAE, Lebanon, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, and other regional nations. He expressed satisfaction with the matchmaking sessions, noting optimism that these interactions would lead to increased sales and exports to various markets. Additionally, 125 specialized foreign delegations visited the exhibition.
Reflecting on high-profile attendance, Khaleghian highlighted visits by prominent political and scientific figures, including the Government Spokesperson and the Minister of Health. Notably, the presence of President Masoud Pezeshkian, a physician familiar with the health sector, transformed the event into a unique opportunity to showcase domestic capabilities to national leaders, potentially aiding in addressing challenges within the health industry.
He stressed that the government, as the primary buyer of health products in Iran, could drive significant growth in the sector through timely procurement, regular payment of dues, and streamlined regulations. Khaleghian also noted the return of over 2,000 Iranian specialists from abroad in recent years under the current administration, who could play a critical role in advancing health technology. Eighteen companies founded by returned Iranians participated in the exhibition, with plans to increase their presence in future editions.
Despite high demand, with over 1,200 companies initially registering, space constraints limited participation to 580, though Khaleghian believed the number could have reached 700 with more capacity. Some applicants couldn’t attend due to lacking necessary permits. Looking ahead, he reiterated the goal of restoring the global prestige and authority of the Iran Health Exhibition, inviting private sector activists, associations, knowledge-based companies, and investors to join the journey toward Iran Health 2026. He affirmed the exhibition’s commitment to further expanding market opportunities for health sector companies. The event concluded on June 10, 2025.
