Iran To Become Medical Equipment Exporter

Iran Health Expo 1403 will be held aiming to pay attention to knowledge-based companies in the field of health and centered on Pardis Technology Park, Secretary of Iran Health Expo 2024 Amir Reza Khaleghian said.

Over 650 domestic and foreign companies have registered to participate in this exhibition, which has grown by about 30%, he added.

Holding side events in this exhibition, including the unveiling of new achievements in the field of health, and holding government and private sector meetings are among the reasons why companies attended this event.

Some 50 foreign companies have announced their readiness to participate in this exhibition. Also, the presence of various foreign delegations will facilitate the export of medical equipment, which will help these companies earn currency.

We have become an exporter of this equipment, in such a way that currently medical equipment made in Iran, in addition to meeting domestic needs, is exported to various Asian, European and South American countries, he noted.

Referring to the production of electronic medical equipment, special operating room equipment and equipment for special maintenance departments by Knowledge-based companies, he said: during the COVID19 pandemic, the required medical equipment, including disinfectants and breathing devices such as ventilators, were made by Iranian technologists.

The 25th International Exhibition of Medical, Dental, Laboratory and Pharmaceutical Equipment will be held in Tehran International Permanent Fairground on May 18-21.
