Agricultural Drone Technology Sparks Interest for Potential Collaboration
Zimbabwe’s Deputy Minister of Science at INOTEX 2025: Seeking to Transfer Iranian Technology to Zimbabwe

On May 1, 2025, during a visit to the 14th INOTEX exhibition, Zimbabwe’s Deputy Minister of Science expressed enthusiasm for transferring Iranian technology, particularly an agricultural drone, to enhance Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector.
INOTEX has consistently attracted visitors from various countries eager to transfer Iranian technology to their homelands. Among the regular international attendees at the International Innovation and Technology Exhibition (INOTEX) are representatives from African nations, who seek to bring innovative solutions to the continent.
During the 14th edition of INOTEX 2025, Zimbabwe’s Deputy Minister of Science visited the exhibition and shared his satisfaction with the showcased achievements and capabilities. He remarked, “The products displayed at this exhibition have diverse applications and can be highly beneficial and effective across various industries.”
Reflecting on the outcomes of his trip to Iran, the Deputy Minister highlighted a significant encounter: “At this exhibition, I came across a startup producing agricultural drones, which could have a substantial impact on our country’s agricultural industry.”
Elaborating on the potential collaboration, he added, “We are currently coordinating to transfer a sample of this drone to Zimbabwe. Our goal is to eventually utilize this Iranian innovation in our agricultural sector, turning this exhibition visit into a practical partnership.”
