Legislative Innovation Center Highlights Policy Labs to Strengthen Lawmaking at INOTEX 2026

During the 15th Iran International Innovation & Technology Exhibition (INOTEX), Mehraban outlined the center's strategic role in modernizing the legislative process. According to the INOTEX 2026 News Center, the center has successfully bridged the gap between the national innovation ecosystem and the parliament over recent years.

Key operational pillars and strategic initiatives highlighted include:

• Policy Labs and Simulation: Utilizing "live" policy labs to model, simulate, and evaluate the short- and long-term impacts of strategic legislation before enactment, minimizing unintended negative consequences.
• Bridging Parliament and Ecosystem: Facilitating direct communication between innovators and lawmakers through regional matchmaking events and dedicated sessions within the parliament and the Parliament Research Center.
• Governance and Legislation Forum: Hosting specialized forums, including the recent session at INOTEX, to foster mutual trust and dialogue between policymakers and tech ecosystem stakeholders.
• Student Parliament Simulation: Conducting six cycles of the "Student Parliament" program, where university students engage in serious games simulating real parliamentary procedures, committee work, and internal bylaws to gain practical legislative experience.

Mehraban concluded that the center is actively introducing these innovative tools to the broader parliamentary ecosystem, ensuring that future legislation is data-driven, rigorously tested, and aligned with the practical needs of the innovation sector.
