D-8 Secretary-General Announces Agreement During Visit to Iran’s Premier Tech Exhibition
MoU Signed Between Iran and Pakistan on Agriculture at INOTEX 2025

Tehran, May 9, 2025 – The Secretary-General of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pakistan and Iran in the field of agriculture during a visit to the Iran International Innovation & Technology Exhibition (INOTEX) 2025.
Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, Secretary-General of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, shared insights during his visit to INOTEX 2025, highlighting the event’s strong connection with the D-8 group of developing Islamic countries. “INOTEX 2025 places a special focus on technology, innovation, and inventions, which underscores its importance and prompted my participation as the head of this organization,” he stated.
Imam expressed amazement at the infrastructure and scale of the event. “I am thrilled to see the participation of D-8 member countries such as Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The fact that this exhibition centers on technology and innovation is truly impressive,” he added.
Commenting on the bilateral agreement, the Secretary-General revealed, “Pakistan, as a member of the D-8 organization, is signing an MoU with Iran in the field of agriculture.”
He further noted that three D-8 member countries are participating in this year’s event and expressed hope for greater representation in future editions. “We look forward to seeing more members join us at the next event,” Imam concluded.
