The “NovinCrowd” platform, launched by the Fund for Development of Advanced Technologies, offers a unique opportunity for individuals and investors to directly fund cutting-edge technological projects, as announced during INOTEX 2025.

Dr. Mohammad Kolahi, Deputy for Credit and Commercialization at the Fund for Development of Advanced Technologies under Bimeh Sarmad, highlighted the achievements of “NovinCrowd,” Iran’s first official crowdfunding platform with dual currency (rial and foreign currency) licensing. This enables the attraction of international capital for export-oriented tech projects.

Marking seven months since its official launch in 2023, Dr. Kolahi noted that “NovinCrowd” ranks among the top two crowdfunding platforms in Iran, demonstrating significant success in raising funds for knowledge-based initiatives. The platform supports companies unable to secure bank loans due to restrictive policies by facilitating direct investment from the public and investors.

Dr. Kolahi emphasized that crowdfunding is a modern participatory tool, allowing both individuals and legal entities to share in the profits and losses of projects. He added that many tech projects, with their high added value and substantial profit margins, are highly attractive to investors.

Regarding legal capacities, individuals can invest up to 5% of a project’s total funding through their Sajaam code, while there are no limits for legal entities. Dr. Kolahi also introduced “FanavarCard,” a complementary product to “NovinCrowd,” revealing plans for a super-app that integrates financial, banking, credit, and insurance services for knowledge-based and tech companies in a seamless, non-physical format. Unlike neobanks focused on individual services, this app targets comprehensive support for businesses and their employees.

The first phase of this project has begun at Pardis Technology Park, with the “FanavarCard” app currently in testing and soon to be rolled out for tech companies nationwide. Dr. Kolahi concluded by affirming “NovinCrowd” as a reliable and professional platform backed by 18 specialized financial institutions in the tech sector, poised to accelerate Iran’s knowledge-based economy as a key innovative financing tool.
