The Chief Executive Officer of Imen Ijaz Medical Engineering which is active in the field of designing and manufacturing all kinds of surgical instruments, medical devices and operating rooms, said that 65% of the country's needs in the field of titanium implants have been met by the company’s researchers in Pardis Technology Park.

It was impossible to make titanium implants for the jaw, face and skull despite many problems, but with the efforts and perseverance of the researchers and aiming to create self-sufficiency job opportunities, this project was successfully completed with the transfer of hi-tech from Switzerland and Germany, Khosro Mohammadloo said.

He added that manufacturing custom made implants was also completed based on the patient's needs and upon the order of the relevant specialist and with the cooperation of neurosurgery, maxillofacial, and radiologists.

Although at the beginning, implants were designed based on the most up-to-date brands in the world, but due to the high-level experience of Iranian surgeons and operating room technicians and their cooperation with the R&D department, we were able to produce items with special and unique designs, he noted.

He went on to say that the company currently supplies 65% of the jaw and face implant market and 10% of the spinal cord implant market in Iran and exports about 15-20% of these products to Germany.
