Synergy Between Innovation and Urban Governance Launched: Pardis Mayor Visits IIID

In his first official visit to the Iran International Innovation District (IIID), the new mayor of Pardis, Mehdi Rezaei, toured the district’s expansion zones and permanent medical equipment exhibition and held a joint meeting with the President and vice-presidents of Pardis Technology Park, emphasizing the need to strengthen cooperation between the city and the innovation ecosystem.

During his visit to the Iran International Innovation District and Pardis Technology Park, Rezaei was introduced to various sections of this major science and technology hub. The program was designed to provide the mayor with a closer understanding of the district’s capacities, development plans, and the technological achievements of its member companies.

The visit began with an on-site tour of the district’s development lands, where urban development and infrastructure projects related to the growth of the Iran International Innovation District were presented and explained to the mayor.

Rezaei then visited the permanent medical equipment exhibition, where he was introduced to advanced medical technologies and products developed by knowledge-based companies based in the park.

The program concluded with a joint meeting between the mayor of Pardis and the President and vice-presidents of Pardis Technology Park. The two sides discussed avenues for cooperation between urban management and the park, mechanisms to facilitate the development of technology infrastructure, models of synergy between the city and knowledge-based actors, and joint programs aimed at supporting the sustainable development of Pardis.
