Top Three in Cybersecurity Attack & Defense

At the Iran International Innovation District (IIID), the first day of the 2025 Technology Olympiad’s Cybersecurity “Attack & Defense” CTF saw 30 four‑member teams compete in a 12‑hour challenge, with WTN, F12, and DOT securing the top scores.

Mohammad Hossein Doroudian, organizer of the cybersecurity section, said 22 teams from Iran and 8 from abroad — including Pakistan, Tunisia, Vietnam, Algeria, and Russia — took part, adding an international and technical edge to the arena.

Teams were tasked with capturing designated systems while defending their own infrastructure using advanced skills in network security, penetration, and cyber defense. In the end, WTN, F12, and DOT ranked first, second, and third for their superior vulnerability detection and effective defense under sustained attacks.

Doroudian emphasized that the competition aims to enhance practical cybersecurity expertise, foster collaboration among specialists, and identify top talent in the field.
