VP Terms Developing Knowledge-Based Economy as Solution to Deal with Traditional and Oil-Based Economy

Iran's vice president for science and technology Sourena Sattari referred to the control of COVID19 by knowledge and knowledge-based companies, saying: "Developing a knowledge-based economy is the way to deal with the traditional and oil-based economy." Addressing the opening ceremony of INOTEX2022, Sattari said that the technology ecosystem is a cultural issue than an economic one, and the knowledge-based economy must be developed as a culture in society. This year, knowledge-based companies should join large industries such as agriculture and mining to remove the traditional economy and oil bureaucracy from the country's economy, he added. Technology is the power and the basis for developing any country, and Iran is no exception in this regard, he noted.
