Vulnerabilities in Banking Systems Discovered in Tech Olympics 2024

In the Bug Bounty competition of the Tech Olympics 2024, one of the teams discovered the biggest vulnerability in the system of one of the Iranian banks.

Mohammad Amin Kariman, the secretary of Bug Bounty event, said that white hat hackers are trying to discover the damage of the systems.

Accordingly, some companies offered their readiness to identify the damage of their systems, he added.

The Bug Bounty competition started yesterday with one of the big insurance organizations and one of the Iranian banks, he said adding that efforts were made to test the damage of the systems of these two institutions.

The teams evaluated the system as a black box without having any information or access as a normal user, and in the first half an hour of this competition, vulnerabilities were found from the participating insurance company and bank, he stated.
