When Technology Enters the Mines: IIID Startups Shine in Mine Cup 2025

Two startups from the Elite Technology Development Center, part of the Iran International Innovation District (IIID), won top honors at the Mine Cup 2025 for pioneering projects in mining digitalization and advanced dust control solutions. Held for the first time during the 19th Iran International Mining Exhibition (Iran ConMine 2025) from November 2–5 in Tehran, the Mine Cup focused on “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in Infrastructure Industries,” providing a competitive platform for innovators and tech companies to showcase solutions for smart mining. Three finalists were selected, presenting advancements in dust management, intelligent mining data analysis, and optimizing industrial efficiency. Among them, Medad Joya Smart Data Processing and Zist Piramoun Novavaran, both based at the Elite Technology Development Center in the Iran International Innovation District, received Mine Cup 2025 awards for their contributions to mining industry digitalization and environmental innovation. Organizers highlighted the competition’s role in connecting innovators, large-scale industries, and investors, aiming to accelerate the commercialization of advanced technologies in Iran’s infrastructure sector. The success of young, knowledge-based startups illustrates a promising technological future for the nation’s mining industry.
