The 2025 Technology Olympics, held at the Iran International Innovation District (IIID) from October 27 to 30, will bring together more than 10,000 domestic and 1,000 international participants from 65 countries. The event features six main competitive domains – including cybersecurity, IoT, programming, artificial intelligence, combat robotics, and drones – with all Iranian winners to be supported by the National Elite Foundation for continued academic, research, and entrepreneurial advancement.

In a press briefing, officials announced that the second edition of the Technology Olympics aims to be one of the largest regional showcases of innovation and technological talent.
Mehdi Safarinia, President of Pardis Technology Park, emphasized that the future is shaped by skilled and creative human capital rather than natural resources. He described the Technology Olympics as a standard platform to identify and deploy domestic talents in solving national and global challenges, positioning Iran as a reference point for high-level technology competitions.

Highlighting IIID’s role beyond servicing member companies, Safarinia stated that the district fosters international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and human capital attraction, making events like the Technology Olympics a gateway to the global innovation ecosystem.

Mojtaba Jabaripour, Head of the 2025 Technology Olympics, announced that all Iranian winners will receive full support from the National Elite Foundation, including educational and research assistance, entrepreneurship integration, and access to innovation networks.

According to Sajjad Abbasi Fashami, Director of Innovation Cluster Development at Pardis Technology Park, this year’s event includes over 20 specialized leagues, with programming and AI attracting nearly 8,000 participants, cybersecurity drawing around 2,000 competitors, and a $13,000 prize pool for the cybersecurity league. Competitions in IoT, drones, and combat robotics will also be held with strong academic and industry involvement.

A unique feature of the 2025 edition is the “Work Station” program, offering over 300 on-site job interviews, 50 employment tours, and a curated booklet of top candidate resumes. Compared to 2024, the event has more than doubled its employment and mentoring services, cementing the Technology Olympics as a national hub for connecting elite talent with industry demands.
