Tehran, Iran - President Masoud Pezeshkian, during a visit to the Iran Health Exhibition 2025, affirmed that sanctions and foreign pressures cannot impede Iran’s progress, praising the resilience of Iranian elites.

June 9, 2025 - During a visit to the 26th Iran Health Exhibition at the Tehran International Exhibition Center, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, underscored the power of national determination in driving the country’s development. He dismissed the impact of sanctions and external pressures, highlighting the capability of Iranian elites to overcome challenges.

Commenting on restrictive actions by Western countries, the President remarked, “Where there is will, there is a way. The sanctions and pressures pursued by the United States and some European nations cannot halt Iran’s growth and progress, especially for those determined to stand on their own feet.” He pointed to significant domestic achievements in fields like nuclear technology and the health industry, noting that exhibitions like Iran Health showcase remarkable advancements. “Enemies may try to obstruct this development, but it is nothing more than a futile dream,” he added.

Dr. Pezeshkian also acknowledged internal responsibilities, admitting that shortcomings in providing an adequate environment for elite growth may exist. “If the groundwork is laid and the will is present, Iranians have proven they can emerge from crises with dignity,” he said.
