30 Teams Compete in Three-Day Cybersecurity Challenge at IIID

The Iran International Innovation District (IIID) will host the Middle East’s largest cybersecurity competition from October 27 to 29, 2025, bringing together 30 Iranian and international teams to engage in three specialized leagues: Attack-Defense CTF, Hardware CTF, and Pwny Racing CTF. The event is part of the 2025 Technology Olympics. The upcoming cybersecurity tournament at the Iran International Innovation District (IIID) and Pardis Technology Park (PTP) will see top experts from Iran and abroad competing in three high-pressure leagues: • Attack-Defense CTF: Monday, October 27, 2025 • Hardware CTF: Tuesday, October 28, 2025 • Pwny Racing CTF: Wednesday, October 29, 2025 — introduced for the first time in Iran. A total of 30 teams advanced to the final stage, along with 120 individual contestants for the Pwny Racing format. More than $13,000 in cash prizes will reward the winners, along with exclusive access to international cybersecurity collaboration networks. The qualifying round broke participation records in Iran and the Middle East, featuring 1,241 teams from around the globe competing online for 24 hours across six disciplines: web, cryptography, reverse engineering, exploitation, forensics, and hardware. In addition, the “Lovely Hackers” Scientific Conference will be held on October 29 as part of the Technology Olympics. Specialists from Iran and overseas will present innovative strategies for countering emerging threats and advancing defensive technology. Event organizers emphasize that the competition’s main purpose is talent identification and development, offering Iranian youth the chance to work alongside global cybersecurity elites and build professional capabilities to strengthen the nation’s digital defense.
