At the Iran International Innovation District (IIID), the Internet of Things (IoT) competition in the second Technology Olympiad opened with seven online challenges, where teams Nobs from Tehran and Hadaf from Isfahan ended the day at the top of the scoreboard.

Shiva Mohammadi, executive secretary of the IoT competition, said four of the day’s challenges focused on IoT cybersecurity, while three addressed “Things” — hardware-based tasks involving smart devices and gateways.

Both leading teams solved three out of the seven challenges and earned notable points in hardware-related tasks. Rankings are tracked via an online scoreboard and may change as the contest progresses.

The IoT competition will continue for three more days, with final results announced at the closing ceremony. As a specialized section of the 2025 Technology Olympiad, the event aims to enhance participants’ technical skills and creativity in designing and implementing smart systems.
